Basically, when you hibernate a windows PC it’ll save your work and no longer consumes any power it’s almost like Shutting Down your computer (Just keep it plugged in). And when you’ll press the power button again it’ll resume from the last stage you left.

How to enable hibernate option in windows (CMD)
To enable hibernate option in your Windows 10 you can we can follow 2 methods first is command line method and second is GUI(Graphical user interface). Let’s see the CMD method first.
- click on start and type cmd.
- right click on cmd.exe and choose Run as Administrator.
- Now to enable hibernate option type this command.
Powercfg /h on
- If you want to disable hibernate option type this command.
Powercfg /h off
Alternatively, you can also use these commands to enable and disable hibernation feature.

To enable/disable hibernate option using GUI follow these steps.
- Open Control Panel.
- Go to Power Options.
- On the left sidebar click on “Choose what the power buttons do”.
- Click on Change Settings that are currently unavailable. after that, The Shutdown options will become editable. Check the Hibernate option.
